A highlight of the tour is a spectacular train ride across the breathtaking Arlberg mountain pass, where dramatic alpine scenery unfolds at every turn. Discover Innsbruck, the charming capital of the Tyrol, marvel at the sparkling displays of Swarovski Crystal World, and experience the traditional craftmanship of the glass-blowers in Rattenberg. Complete your Austrian adventure with an evening of lively Tyrolean entertainment, featuring traditional music, dancing, and plenty of thigh-slapping fun.
Day 1 Sunday Depart the UK
Departing from the Essex area, we travel to Dover for our ferry crossing to France, where you can enjoy a complimentary breakfast on board. After disembarkation, the journey continues through the French countryside to the Metz area for an overnight stay. Dinner is included at the hotel this evening.
Day 2 Monday Travel to Austria
After breakfast, we continue our journey through France and Germany, arriving later in the day at your hotel in the Austrian Tyrol region of Austria. After check-in, there may be time to relax and explore the hotel and its surrounding alpine scenery before enjoying dinner together this evening.
Day 3 Tuesday Innsbruck Sightseeing and Shopping
After breakfast, we make our way to Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol. Set against a spectacular backdrop of snow-capped mountains, Innsbruck offers a picture-book Old Town rich in history and charm. Discover the impressive Hofburg Innsbruck, the former Imperial Palace, and see the famous Golden Roof (“Goldenes Dachl”), the iconic symbol of the city. Innsbruck is easy to explore on foot, with plenty of shops, bars, cafés, and restaurants where you may wish to enjoy lunch at leisure. Later, we shall return to the hotel for dinner and a relaxing evening at leisure.
Day 4 Wednesday Crystals, Glass and Tyrolean Evening
This morning, enjoy a tour of the world-renowned Swarovski Crystal Worlds and step into the heart of this crystal empire, where sparkling art and immersive installations create a truly unique experience. See the striking “Realm of the Giant,” covered in ornate crystal designs, and explore the 17 Chambers of Wonder, where international artists and designers bring imaginative concepts to life. An on-site patisserie, café, and shop are also available for refreshments and browsing. Continue to the nearby medieval “Glass Town” of Rattenberg to watch the mesmerising craft of traditional glass-blowing, a skill deeply rooted in the region’s heritage. After your visit, there may be time to stroll through the town’s charming streets, with its selection of shops, cafés, and restaurants. Why not try a local speciality such as Apple Strudel before returning to the hotel to freshen up ahead of your visit back into Innsbruck ? This evening, get ready for a lively celebration of Tyrolean culture with music and dance at one of Europe’s finest traditional shows. Enjoy a pre-show 3-course dinner including one drink before experiencing authentic Tyrolean music, folk dancing, shoe-slapping, and yodelling with the Gundolf Family.

Morning departure from the Essex area for the journey to Dover for our mid-morning ferry Crossing . Upon arrival in France, we shall make our way to the delightful hamlet of Hesdin L’Abbe where this lovely 18th Century Chateau is located. Retaining the features of the original family estate, the elegant 18th-century manor house is set within 12 lush and leafy acres of parkland, spliced by pathways lined with century-old trees.
The afternoon can be spent relaxing at the chateau before enjoying a 3 course gourmet evening meal. Loved by locals and guests alike, the fine gourmet restaurant is located in the château’s conservatory, offering beautiful park and garden panoramas. The menu is imaginative, incorporating fresh local produce. Why not pair it with one of the many fine vintage appellations from the wine cellar?

Join us on this 4 day break to the stunning Yorkshire Dales– which includes a return journey on the iconic rail journey from Settle to Carlisle and some free time to stroll around the town of Settle and be entertained by the wonderful flowerpot displays decorating the town. At the beginning of July decorated flower pots start to pop up all over Settle. Once all the pots are in place, visitors can pick up Flower Pot Trail sheets for £2 from local businesses, each with around 50 varied educational and entertaining questions aimed at all ages – relating to the flower pot creations. Each year the level of creativity increases, with Settle residents seemingly trying to outdo each other with their imagination and flower pot engineering talents. Dinosaurs, tractors and all manner of characters are likely to appear.
