Lille and Bruges Short Break
Friday 9th – Monday 12th October 2026

£75.00 per person deposit
£349.00 per person

Discover two of Northern Europe’s most enchanting destinations with a short break combining the vibrant charm of Lille and the timeless beauty of Bruges.
Just a short drive from Calais, Lille is renowned for its stunning Flemish architecture, rich history, and lively atmosphere. As one of northern France’s most important cities, Lille offers plenty to explore, from bustling squares to peaceful green spaces. Wander through the maze of cobbled streets in the old town, admire the ornate 17th-century Vieille Bourse — widely regarded as the city’s finest building — and soak up the atmosphere in the beautiful Grand Place, the favourite meeting place of the locals.
Bruges needs little introduction. Often described as one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities, Bruges captivates visitors with its picturesque canals, historic buildings, and romantic atmosphere. Explore the charming old town and experience the relaxed Belgian lifestyle while browsing its famous chocolate shops and sampling delicious local beers.
Marvel at the towering Belfry of Bruges overlooking the historic market square, or watch swans glide peacefully across the romantic Minnewater, also known as the Lake of Love. Art lovers should not miss Church of Our Lady, home to Madonna and Child by Michelangelo. To experience the city from another perspective, enjoy a scenic canal cruise beneath Bruges’ quaint bridges or take a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through its cobbled streets.
With memorable experiences around every corner, this delightful twin-centre break offers the perfect blend of culture, history, and relaxation.

Thursford Christmas Spectacular
Saturday 14th – Sunday 15th November 2026

£50.00 per person deposit
£199.00 per person

Join us on this great festive weekend break, which includes  visits to Norwich and Cambridge for Christmas Shopping and a ticket for the widely acclaimed Thursford Christmas Spectacular Show!

Thursford Christmas Spectacular Show is set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels, with a cast of 130 professional singers, dancers and musicians – many of whom are West End performers. The 3 hour performance delivers an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It’s a fast moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites, with famous and much-loved chart toppers being sung alongside traditional carols.

Each show is a pageant of spectacle and colour – the music a seamless transition from an up-beat dance routine to a choral rendition of a Christmas carol, a show which would not be out of place in any London West End theatre.

It all started one Christmas, more than 40 years ago, when a small festive show took place in the rural location of Thursford. Featuring the choral scholars of King’s College Cambridge, organisers had little idea that their seasonal offering would be the birth of what is now England’s largest Christmas show.
