Following a sold-out run at the Chichester Festival Theatre, THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY transfers to Theatre Royal Haymarket in London’s West End.

The Battle Proms picnic concert takes place in the Queen Elizabeth Oak Field in the leafy Hatfield Park. Legend has it that it was beneath one of the ancient oaks in this field that the young Queen Elizabeth I heard that she was to be Queen of England.

Thursford Christmas Spectacular Show is set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels, with a cast of 130 professional singers, dancers and musicians – many of whom are West End performers. The 3 hour performance delivers an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It’s a fast moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites, with famous and much-loved chart toppers being sung alongside traditional carols.

Each show is a pageant of spectacle and colour – the music a seamless transition from an up-beat dance routine to a choral rendition of a Christmas carol, a show which would not be out of place in any London West End theatre.

It all started one Christmas, more than 40 years ago, when a small festive show took place in the rural location of Thursford. Featuring the choral scholars of King’s College Cambridge, organisers had little idea that their seasonal offering would be the birth of what is now England’s largest Christmas show.
